Evoked potentials
Several electrodes are used for the recording of the Evocati Potentials, among them:
Cup-shaped surface electrodes (reusable or disposable), which are placed with a conductive adhesive paste, after having prepared the scalp with a slight abrasion to reduce the contact impedance.
Monopolar intradermal needle electrodes, typically disposable, which allow the highest operating speed of positioning.
When many exploratory electrodes are required, such as for the recording of cognitive evoked potentials and for the co-recording of EEG during TMS, pre-wired headphones with specifically prepared electrodes are used.
